About this collection
The Municipal League of Seattle was organized on May 23, 1910 with a mission of informing and involving its members and the public in civic issues. The League began publishing the Municipal League News one year later on June 24, 1911, and has continued publishing the News (with variations in both the newsletter name and the organization name) to the present - its purpose to promote "active citizenship, scientific investigation, competent officials, full publicity, wholesome legislation and constructive solutions". This collection provides access to a rich source of information about the social, political, economic, and cultural history of Seattle and King County over the past century.
We'd like to thank the Municipal League of King County for providing a physical set of the Municipal News and for permission to digitize the collection.
